Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you lie there, you sluggard?
When will you get up from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest-
and poverty will come on you like a bandit
and scarcity like an armed man.
Proverbs 6:6-11
Painted Ant, two silly words which do not seem to go together. Let me see if I can explain how it came about.
The ant, as you can see by the Bible verse to the right, is quite an amazing creature. It never ceases to work, whether it is digging, or foraging, or tending to others. Constantly on the move, constantly serving others. Ants are direct, decisive, innovative and risk-taking problem solvers.
The word "painted" carries a huge meaning to us, one which is hard to place into words sometimes. Being painted means that we are covered by the blood of Christ. Jesus died for us, and for you, and only by his blood are we redeemed.
Now we don't have any intention of getting all "religious" here, but we do want you to understand what drives us. But it's not about us, it is about Him. We give Him all the glory, for providing us with the ideas, the knowledge, the insight, the persistance, and the blessings to do what we do.
